We are fully insured with "Protectivity" which is a specialised insurance company for animal businesses.We carry public liability insurance , alongside "Care in Custody" , licensed by Mansfield council, License Number 027567 - 4 star 2 year license
Now fully qualified with Level 3 ofqual certification in Proffessional Home Boarding, Daycare & Welfare for higher standards in Home Boarding & Advanced first aid and CPR.To comply with licensing requirements and good practise, if you decide to home board your dog with "The Dachshund Nanny" there are various steps put in place to help aid your dogs stay.If your dog will be staying more than two nights, he/she will need to come on a trial stay, this helps me to decide if your dog & of course mine too, are happy.( This is called a familiarisation )When you come to visit, ask as many questions as you can think of (this is your time)I will also want to know lots about your dog too, and if you decide we are the right place , we have a few forms to fill in.Our home and facilities won't suit every dog, so for this reason alone its best to have multiple options available to you in case our home is not suitable, please don't be offended if we can't accept your dog , we take more than 1 dog at a time, every dog has to be considered.Booking early can help you secure the right place for your dog.Diary is now open for 2020Please note, we do not offer emergency boarding.
Don't forget:Inoculations card, (dogs must be up to date) this includes the kennel cough vaccine. Titre tested dogs are not accepted at this time.
All dogs must be up to date with worming & flea treatments.We are able to give medications to guests that require this, please make sure that any medications are in a plastic sealable tub, clearly marked with your dogs name, frequency and amount of medication needed to be given.
We will not accept bitches that are in/due in season, if your dog comes in to season while with us, your emergency contact will need to collect your dog.Pups are welcome, once all inoculations are completed.
We are more than happy to care for dogs with disabilities, please call for a chat or arrange to visit.We ask all owners to bring their own dogs regular food, this will enable an easier transition & avoid upset tummies.
Please Note:For insurance purposes please do NOT bring children under the age of 16 to the property.
Our home is fully compliant with all current legislation and is equipped with Fire detection and protection equipment, including carbon monoxide alarms.
Our Garden is safe and secure, and double gated for extra security, the house has security cameras.
Our Vehicles are insured for business use and equipped with dog transport boxes & seatbelts, in line with the current legislation on the transportation of Dogs, each dog will also wear a secondary I.D tag for extra safety this is also required by licensing.
Bookings are not confirmed until the following steps have been actioned and agreed by myself.1. Meet & Greet2.Familiarisation sucessfully completed.3. Inoculation card produced for my records.3. Booking forms are signed, returned & deposit paid.
Its really important that you the owner, share as much information as possible about your dog.
Your dog won't always be the only dog boarding, so I have to consider a number of factors, which include behaviours & how your dogs interact with other dogs, but people too.
The booking form is in depth and covers all aspects of information we require, we reserve the right to terminate a booking if behaviours displayed become unmanageable or detrimental to other guests.
Bookings will not be accepted without an emergency contact.
